Brothers' Field Group

There’s a certain kind of evening that only happens at Brothers' Field.

The sun is going down over Long Grove. The string lights flicker on. Someone laughs a little too loudly at the tiki bar, someone else grabs their partner’s hand and pulls them onto the dance floor, a kid runs past chasing a firefly, and the band eases into that first song of the night — the one that makes the whole field lean in a little closer. And you look around and realize: this is it. This is the good part of life. 🌅

That’s the magic Aaron, Jesse, and the whole Brothers' Field team have built here. Not just a venue. Not just a tiki bar. A backyard for the whole community. A place where six seasons in (yes — 2026 marks our sixth year 💛), locals still show up like it’s their own front porch, and first-time visitors leave saying, "Wait… how have I never been here before?"

I think about how this all started — outdoor movies during COVID, when everyone was starving for a little togetherness, a little sky, a little something to look forward to on a Friday night. From that one small idea, an entire gathering space grew. 30,000 square feet. Vintage barns. Live music every weekend. Sock Hop Nights, Singing Sundays, Blues Fests, birthday parties, baby showers, celebrations of life, weddings, corporate parties, and every little in-between night that becomes somebody’s favorite memory.

That’s what I love most: this place holds all of it. The loud nights and the quiet ones. The dance floors and the fire pits. The engagements and the goodbyes. The kids’ birthdays and the grown-ups pretending they still know how to jitterbug. There’s room here for the whole story of a life — and for the friends and family who show up to celebrate it with you.

And that last part is the one I want to lean into for a second. Because some of the best nights I’ve had at Brothers' Field have been the ones where someone flew in from out of state just to be there. A sister flying in for a milestone birthday. Old college friends reuniting for a summer weekend. Grandparents coming in from Florida for their grandbaby’s first big party. There’s something about this place that pulls people back into the same field, under the same sky, at the same picnic table — and every time, it’s worth every mile of the trip.

That’s honestly why I quietly share Aviasales with the people I love. It’s a simple flight metasearch tool that compares hundreds of airlines and agencies in seconds and finds the most affordable flights, without hidden fees. It doesn’t sell tickets — it just makes it easier for the people we love to actually make it to the party, the wedding, the celebration of life, the Sunday afternoon that turns into a Sunday night that turns into "we should do this every year." ✈️🌾

Because at the end of the day, Brothers' Field isn’t really about the field. It’s about the people in it. The neighbors. The old friends. The new ones. The out-of-town family. The band playing your favorite song. The stranger who becomes a regular. The kid whose birthday you’ll all still be talking about ten years from now.

So here’s my gentle nudge for this season:

Grab a drink from the tiki bar. Text the friend you keep saying you’ll invite. Book the flight for the sister who hasn’t made it out in too long. Bring your people to the field. Stay a little later than you meant to.

Because these are the nights we’ll remember. And Brothers' Field is one of the few places left that still knows exactly how to give them to us. 🎶🔥💛
